Introduction

Welcome to Heal Yourself, Change Your Life.
My name is Brandy Gillmore, and after recovering from my own life-changing injury, it’s become my mission to share with others the same discoveries I made that changed my health and my entire life. Our minds are truly incredible. The placebo is proof of this.

Each week, I will take this simple awareness to a whole new level. I will even coach live callers to free themselves of physical pain using only their mind. And then I’ll provide you with a combination of practical and spiritual insights that you can use to master your mind and your energy to help you heal your health, yourself, and your life.

Let’s begin.

Hello and happy a beautiful day to you. Welcome back on today’s episode. we are going to be talking about the topic of money and healing and how they can influence each other in a major way that most people may not realize.

You know, even when we talk about, and I say, you know, money and healing, immediately people might think, well, of course, stress, but it is so illogical and it’s just different than what most people would think at a deeper, deeper level. and so that’s where we’re going.

And by the way, as we step in, you’ll notice our beautiful volunteer. She’s been suffering with multiple health issues, but we’re working on pain today. But what I’ve seen throughout the years is just the way that the mind can affect money or healing is it’s so profound. And yet so often people can feel stuck for this very reason because as you’ll see today, it can be so counterintuitive and not just for people who are struggling to get by.

I have worked with people making multi -hundred million dollars and also people who were losing millions of dollars and then shifting it and helping them to become successful again and profitable and making millions of millions of dollars and not only that but people like me who had to work off of disability and figure it out and I’ve worked with people who were coming off of disability and then starting their own business and creating and succeeding in big ways.

And it’s incredible what we are capable of when we’re really willing to understand what’s going on at a deeper level in our mind, not only of course for healing but what we’re capable of in our lives.

And you may have heard me before on past episodes know, after I healed myself, the last thing I thought I would be doing was showing people how to heal themselves. You know, I really thought, and this was, you know, a long time ago, so I was, I, my injury was back in 2003 when I was injured and got better by 2010 and, you know, I really thought, okay, well, let me just give this to doctors and, and they’re going to want to help everybody.

And of course, most people don’t believe you can heal with the mind. So then I went on this journey of just trying to show that it worked. and it grew into this amazing, beautiful, wonderful thing, a book, podcast, all of the things, just by trying to show people how it works. And of course, medical journal, and publishing information in the medical journal just to show people.

So it really took on a huge, bigger, bigger, bigger picture than I initially had anticipated. So, but that happened. But also as I was getting better, and after I healed myself and then was able to understand the mind in a new way, that’s when I also started then having people come out of the woodworks, if you will, that needed help with, they were struggling in relationships or business and money and stressed and whatnot.

And then so I started working to help them and it just became this expanding and growing thing where I started helping people not only with health, but then with their money and getting back on their feet or taking, you know, if their business or their life was stuck or people who are working on selling their businesses and couldn’t sell them for a reason because it was stuck.

I mean, I was just all kinds of things. And so that’s what I love about today’s episode is that is the insights that come from it can be just so counterintuitive when it comes to money. And so that’s part of where we’re going.

And also the other thing that I really love is our volunteer. Her name is Gabby, you’re absolutely going to love her. She’s just, she’s sweet. She’s so authentic and she just has great self -awareness, a beautiful, beautiful, beautiful being.

And so that’s where we’re going. So on that note, let’s go ahead and dive in with our beautiful volunteer, Gabby.

Here we go.

Gabby:
Hello.

Brandy:
Hi.

Gabby:
Hi Brandy.

Brandy:
Hi beautiful, it’s wonderful to connect with you.

Gabby:
Thank you so much for this.

Brandy:
Absolutely. And what can I help you with today?

Gabby:
Well, I know that you—I’ve listened to quite a few of your episodes, and the thing that’s really struck me is the ability to see the patterns that I can’t see, you know, the subconscious ones that I’ve looked at in so many different ways. And my whole history has been about chronic star pain since I was little, epilepsy for years, chronic fatigue for years.

Brandy:
Okay, so epilepsy and chronic pain for years and seizures.

Gabby:
Okay, and epilepsy stopped when I was 15.

Brandy:
Okay. And as far as the chronic pain—where is that located?

Gabby:
It comes and goes now and it’s—it’s intermittent, but usually lower spine and left hip.

Brandy:
Okay. And if I ask you your current level right now, what is your current level of pain right now?

Gabby:
Right now I’d say two.

Brandy:
Okay. Yes, the blade. Okay. All right. So give me one second.

Okay. So about a two. And if I ask you where you’re feeling it the most at, where would you say you’re feeling it the most right now, your pain?

Gabby:
In the left hip.

Brandy:
Okay. And so I’m going to ask you to breathe. Thank you.

And if I ask you to notice, if I ask you 0 to 10, how much you can find the feeling of stress towards—stress towards money. If I ask you zero to ten, how much you can find that?

Gabby:
Zero to ten?

Brandy:
Yeah.

Gabby:
Ten.

Brandy:
Ten. Okay, so I’m going to ask you to breathe. And I’m going to ask you to also notice—if I ask you zero to ten, how much you can find the feeling of guilt towards money? Zero to ten, what would you say?

Gabby:
Six maybe.

Brandy:
Okay, that’s what I would have said—six, six, seven, somewhere in there. Okay, so I’m going to ask you to breathe.

And I’m going to ask you to notice what it would look like or feel like if you had a completely different relationship towards money.

Gabby:
Oh my God, amazing.

Brandy:
And what if you didn’t need to feel guilty at all towards money?

Gabby:
Yeah, that would be great. That would be just a relief. It would be a huge relief.

Brandy:
Okay, so I’m going to ask you to breathe. If I ask you—do you know why you feel guilt towards money?

Gabby:
No, I don’t. I can surmise maybe my parents had a bad relationship with money. They’ve never had money. I do feel maybe if I have money, I’m taking away from somebody else. That’s just popped in now. But I maybe don’t deserve it on some level.

Brandy:
Okay. So what you’re saying is you steal from your neighbor.

Gabby:
Right.

Brandy:
Like if your name—you just go, you steal from your neighbor. How often do you do that?

Gabby:
Oh, you don’t.

Brandy:
Oh, you don’t. Oh, okay, so you steal from a different neighborhood?

Gabby:
No.

Brandy:
No. So wait a sec. So—but you have money, you’re taking from them how? So out of curiosity, if you have food on your table, are you taking away from your neighbors by chance?

Gabby:
No.

Brandy:
No, so wait a sec. So if you have food, you’re not taking from them, but if you have money, you are.

Gabby:
Yeah, which is bonkers.

Brandy:
Oh, okay. Yep. Yep. Yep. So I’m going to ask you to breathe. Now, I’m going to ask you to picture yourself in complete good integrity with money. You’re not taking from anybody. You’re not taking from anybody.

You don’t want to take from anybody. You’re not taking people’s money. You’re not taking people’s—you’re not saying “Oh I want to take so-and-so’s job” or “I want to take so-and-so’s ideas” and go “I’m going to take this or take that.” So you’re not taking anything. You’re not taking from others.

And I’m going to ask you to breathe.
And I’m going to ask you to take in the feeling that instead—you’re contributing.

All right, so let’s go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment. You know, noticing for a moment, she had that feeling of feeling like if she’s bringing in money, she is taking from others, and of course, that’s not a good feeling.

And so if you have felt like that, I strongly encourage you to take in the feeling of feeling like a win, win, win, that it’s a win for everybody.

Now, of course, this depends on your situation. And I have to tell you, when I was on disability going through my injury, I was beating myself up. I was like, “How is it that like disability and benefits are supposed to be for other people, not me?” Like, I just was in this spiral of feeling bad of, you know, because I had always worked from a young age.

And so it was just like, there was a part of my mind I was just like, “Get up and go and do.” And it was like, I was so mean to myself initially. I had to work that out.

But my point is, is exactly that. Is that wherever you are, if you are feeling like you’re going to take from others, that’s not a good feeling.

You know, we don’t want to take from others. But when you create a win-win-win situation in life, that’s ultimately what we want.

I mean, imagine if we look around the world and everybody is helping everybody with something and that money is an exchange, and what I mean by that is exactly that—
is that when we think about it in the old days, a person might say, “Well, hey, I’ll trade you a wagon wheel for some corn.”

Right?

And so they’re trading different things or whatnot, but now if we lived in that world today where it’s like I’ll trade you a wagon wheel or I’ll trade you a car for some corn or food or whatnot it would be really hard to do—it would be impossible.

And not only that, but we’d spend—you know, if the store already had enough corn or whatnot and nobody would be able to trade. You know, if you already had enough wagon wheels so to speak, then we’d spend all day trying to just barter and whatnot.

So instead, you know, having money as an exchange obviously allows us to trade and communicate and connect and help each other.

And that’s another thing that you want to think about is that a lot of times people stop thinking about the value that they provide.

Like, I’ve worked with people who worked in real estate or technology or, you know, working with food or, you know, restaurants or whatnot, all kinds of things. And it’s like they forget to realize that it’s a value.

It’s a value to others. It’s like going to a restaurant. That’s a value to be able to go with family and friends and enjoy.

It’s not just the food—yeah, the food is great—but to be able to go to a place and enjoy and be or whatever it is, or even housing, or, you know, automobiles, whatever it is, it’s just, you know, technology, where people work in technology, they go, “I want to do something, you know, important.”

Well, let’s be honest. We all communicate from around the world because of technology. The reason I can, you know, connect with you right now is because of technology. So it really does bring people together in such a beautiful way.

And so my point is, is two things, and of course there’s—as I mentioned, there’s extremely counterintuitive as it comes up, but as we continue on—

but my point here is, is make sure that you feel good about money in a positive, healthy, spiritual—and spiritual—way to feel good about money so you’re not blocking yourself, so you’re not feeling guilty about it and that you feel at peace and good and it barter and trade and that’s exactly what we want to do.

We want to, you know, create a win-win-win and that’s key. So that said again, the counterintuitive mind is coming up.

So this is the first part.

All right, so that said, let’s go ahead and dive back in with our beautiful volunteer, Gabby.

Here we go.

Gabby:
Yeah, that feels so different.

Brandy:
It does, doesn’t it?

Gabby:
Well, it’s so different.

Brandy:
Great, so I’m going to ask you to breathe. Now imagine for a moment, if we live in a world where everybody’s trying to take from their person, when somebody’s taking somebody else’s ideas, or somebody’s this, or somebody’s—that’s kind of like this.

Is that there are people who work on technology who help us connect right now, that we’re connected because they’re—they’re supporting our lives for us.

Thank you, those people. I’m so grateful to them that they can support—now we have audio, we can connect with each other, we can do this, we can…

Gabby:
Yeah, there are people who are farmers who are making money from farming and then I don’t have to spend my day farming, but I can still eat food.

Brandy:
Yeah, and I love that they make money from that and I love that I can.

So when we stop and think about it, when we’re in right harmony with money, we’re not taking from people. We’re actually contributing to the world in a positive way.

Gabby:
Yeah, that makes much more sense.

Brandy:
Right. And so I’m going to ask you to breathe.

And are you a farmer by chance?

Gabby:
No.

Brandy:
No, but do you appreciate that other people are, so you now have food?

Gabby:
Yes, I do.

Brandy:
Yes. And I appreciate that they can feed their families because—and they’re not taking from anybody. They’re contributing and I’m happy to receive that and I’m happy that they’re making money doing that, right?

Gabby:
Yeah, fantastic.

Brandy:
Yeah, and that’s great for their life and it’s great for mine.

Gabby:
Right.

Brandy:
And yours.

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
Great. So I’m going to ask you to breathe and—

By the way, did you make your own computer that we’re talking on right now?

Gabby:
No.

Brandy:
You didn’t?

Gabby:
No.

Brandy:
Gosh. Well, yeah, I mean, you could have. You could just go to school and then learn how to do it and then create, but it’s kind of nice that you don’t have to do all that, that somebody gets paid for creating it for us, right?

Gabby:
Yes. Yeah.

Brandy:
And that person deserves to make money, right?

Gabby:
Yes.

Brandy:
Great. Fantastic. And I’m grateful too. Now I have a computer and I didn’t have to make it myself.

So I’m going to ask you to breathe and notice—when we’re all working in harmony, we’re not taking from others, we’re contributing.

And so I’m gonna ask you to breathe and I’m gonna ask you to take in the feeling that there’s no—that you don’t need any guilt, that you staying in integrity with money, you see yourself contributing, and there’s so many ways to contribute.

There’s so many ways to—some people, they sell real estate and they contribute in that way and it’s wonderful. And some people, maybe they’re creating clothes and thank God I don’t have to make my own.

I’m gonna tell you, I don’t know that I’m the best sewer. I would might walk around looking pretty funny with some—but thank God other people create clothes, thank God.

Gabby:
No, I don’t know, I haven’t put that much time sewing.

Brandy:
And did a little bit with my grandmother growing up and my mother growing up. But other than that, I haven’t done much of it, so I might piece it together.

But my point is, thank God I don’t have to, right?

And so I’m going to ask you to breathe, and I’m going to ask you to take in the feeling of what it would feel like to be in good relationship with money, loving relationship with money, good integrity with money, and I’m going to ask you to breathe, not needing any guilt towards money, but instead creating a wonderful relationship with it.

And I’m going to ask you to breathe—

Bingo.

And take in the feeling that it’s safe, that nobody’s mad at you. If you’re creating money in a positive way, nobody’s mad at you.

Gabby:
Oh my god, I just saw my father pop up then.

Brandy:
And what did you see?

Gabby:
He used to—there was a really bad feeling of he hasn’t got enough to give me. He hasn’t got enough so I can’t have enough of the things I want. It was something like that. I can’t have as much as I want because he hasn’t got enough, so it’s so stressful if I ask for things.

Brandy:
Bingo, so you should not ask for anything, correct?

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
Okay, which is not true. But notice the stress and the guilt around it.

Gabby:
Huge.

Brandy:
Uh-huh. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.
And also the fear around it.

Gabby:
There’s never an—you know, the fear is—it’s making me shake.

Brandy:
Yeah, bingo. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

Bingo.

And what if you knew you were safe?

Gabby:
Bingo. I quit. I want to feel the safety.

Brandy:
Mm-hmm. OK. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

Now, it’s very counterintuitive because if I ask you zero to ten, how much you can find the feeling of guilt for having money?
And if I ask you how much—when you have money—you’ve wanted to hide it from your parents or from people that you haven’t, what would you say?

Gabby:
I’d say it’s about seven.

Brandy:
That’s what I would say. Seven, eight, actually, maybe even sometimes a nine or a 10.

Gabby:
Maybe a bit more.

Brandy:
Mm-hmm. Well said. Yeah. So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.
So if I told you that I feel bad and guilty about having money and I wanna hide it at a seven, eight, nine, 10—
how much is that telling the universe it’s okay to have more money?

Gabby:
Yeah, it’s not at all, is it?

Brandy:
Not at all. So if I feel bad and guilty at a seven, eight, nine, ten, and then I’m telling the universe,
“Oh, then it’s not safe to have more and more and more,” and I feel bad about it,
so my energy is not good and then I’m wondering why I don’t feel safe—
well, I’m telling the universe, “Don’t give me too much because it’s bad and it’s shameful and it’s guilty and you need to hide it.”

Gabby:
Yeah, I can feel the shame.

Brandy:
Mm-hmm. Exactly.
Why shame towards having money?

Gabby:
I know, silly.

Brandy:
Uh-huh. And if I ask you zero to ten, how much you can find the feeling right now of wanting to hide money, what would you say?

Gabby:
Ten.

Brandy:
Uh-huh.

Gabby:
Ten.

Brandy:
Uh-huh. So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

But what if you don’t hide that you have money?
What’s going to happen?

Gabby:
Somebody’s going to take it off you. There’s a fear someone’s going to take it if I don’t hide it away.
Someone’s going to steal it from me.

Brandy:
Okay, so I’m going to ask you to breathe.
And are you sure that that’s true?

Gabby:
I’m not sure it’s true. I don’t…

Brandy:
Okay, it feels true, but it doesn’t make sense.

Gabby:
Great.

Brandy:
So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.
And—well said—it doesn’t make sense.
A lot of people have a lot of fears and negative programming towards money that just doesn’t make sense.
And it blocks them from having the money that they want, also.

Or they can have integrity issues where they feel like they have to take from somebody.
There’s people who will feel like, “I have to take this,” or people who will even feel entitled—
“Oh, I should be able to take this. It’s the universe.”
And they should be able to take this and take this.

And so—so I’m going to ask you to breathe.

All right, so let’s go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment.
You know, notice when all of these feelings underneath are going on regarding money,
of course it can affect your health, and you’ll notice actually how connected it is to her pain coming up.

You’ll notice her pain actually goes up instead of down as we’re talking about some of these topics—
and then of course she brings it back down (spoiler alert).

But what you’ll notice is that she’s got all these blocks and guilt and feelings and stress
in a different way than you might think towards money.
You know, this feeling of guilt and feeling bad and like she’s taking from others.

And so all of these emotions can block people from being successful and having more money.
And so, so often I’ll see people who—on one hand—they’re stressed about money.

They’re feeling lack. They’re stressing about it.
They’re feeling all these feelings.
And then simultaneously what’s happening is then there’s a part of them that doesn’t want it.
It feels like they can’t have love or connection.
And so it’s blocking them in a different way.

And so there’s all of these stressful emotions going back and forth, coming in at a deeper, deeper level.

And so that’s part of what you want to know.
Again, it’s going to be counterintuitive coming up, but I just want you to kind of notice those blocks
and why a person can feel so stuck when it comes to healing or even when it comes to the topic of money.

And then genuinely changing this subconscious programming is key for creating a radical change in your life—
in your health, in your happiness, in your finances—all of it.

And so that’s where we’re going as we step back in with our beautiful volunteer, Gabby.

Here we go.

Brandy:
And I’m going to ask you to be willing to change your mindset towards money—that if we look around this world and everybody—picture everybody is contributing in a way.

They’re contributing, supporting others—whether it’s farming or a business or technology or real estate or whatever it is—
that everybody’s—or fashion or dance or singing or art or—I mean, so many different things—
but everybody’s contributing and not taking from each other.

Gabby:
Yeah, that feels really expansive.

Brandy:
Yeah.

Gabby:
Flow and nice and freedom and—

Brandy:
Exactly. Right. And then ultimately, how spiritual does that look?

Gabby:
Well, it just feels like harmony when it’s open.

Brandy:
Exactly. Harmony.

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
Yeah. Harmony. That everybody—that’s—and that’s the vision of when you stop and think about it, we are all here to help each other.
We all have different gifts and abilities and things and whatnot.

And so—I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

So we do all have different gifts and different abilities, and, you know, and that’s what’s beautiful.
It’s like I mentioned with farming or sewing. That might not be my biggest gift. I have other gifts. Great.

And so I’m going to ask you—just for a moment—to notice that you don’t need to feel guilt and you don’t need to feel bad,
but you could be willing to change.

You could be willing to change.

And I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

And I want you to notice your level of pain right now—zero to 10—what’s your level?

Gabby:
I’d say it’s gone up a little bit. Three.

Brandy:
Uh-huh. Three, three, four—somewhere in there.

Gabby:
Oh, somewhere in there.

Brandy:
I would agree. Awesome. This is what’s really great. You can see that your energy around this topic is definitely an impact. Okay?

Give me one second.

All right, so let’s go ahead and pause it just for a quick moment for a few really powerful insights.
You know, first and foremost—her pain went up, not down.

And while that is not optimal, it is also profound for so many reasons.

You know, first and foremost, sometimes people think that maybe I’m putting energy on somebody to then heal themselves.
And so the great thing is, is that you can see—unfortunately—her pain did go up, but she was triggered by this topic.

So that is one thing.

Another thing that you can see from it is—it’s not the placebo.
You know, sometimes people think that, you know, if I’m showing people how to release pain
and they have a certain expectation, that it’s just positive expectation,

but notice—we never said, “Hey, your pain is going to go up.”
So you can see it’s not placebo. It’s not just positive thinking.
Like, there’s actually triggers that are connected.

And that is really empowering and profound.
That, you know, it’s not just positive thinking.
It is really, really rewiring the mind at a different level.

And you’ll notice—part of what’s happening is there’s a part of her that’s wanting to hide when it comes to money.
And there’s, you know, all of these different emotions that she’s feeling.

And so that’s part of the reason it actually is going up.

And so just profound.

Not only that, but this is another thing that I really love—is that it’s empowering.

You know, as I mentioned to her—at least you can see the connection.

By the way, I’ve had people in the past before where maybe, you know, somebody has, you know,
learned to work with the tools and the techniques and they said, you know,
they’ve been getting their pain down and whatnot and they’re wondering, you know,

“Can I keep it down?” or whatnot—because they’ve, you know, gone through the video course
and they heal themselves and they—they do that.

And the ability to be able to know the connection of what is connected to the mind-body
and being able to then influence it and change it is so empowering.
It is so empowering.

So even though it wasn’t necessarily on the positive note—which we’re going to—she’s going to get it back down and gone—
but it’s still empowering because it really helps you to feel in control of your health.
Like, that you have the ability to influence it.

And I know during my own injury, I’d have that same thing, you know,
where I was working with my mind and maybe sometime it would trigger up and I would go,
“Okay, wait a second here. Let me get this down.”

So you really want to pay attention and work with your mind carefully in a positive way.

But ultimately, to get the results, you really need to rewire it at a deeper level.

And so—and as I mentioned previously, it can be very counterintuitive.

And so that’s where we’re going in this next piece right here,
is understanding why it can be counterintuitive.

And so let’s go ahead and dive back in with Gabby.

Here we go.

Brandy:
And if I ask you to notice—

Bingo.

If I ask you to notice, zero to ten right now, how much you can find the feeling of wanting to hide money right now?

Gabby:
I’d say six maybe.

Brandy:
Yeah, and notice how the more we talk about this conversation, the more it makes you feel like you need to hide it.
Can you see that?

Gabby:
I’m feeling very uncomfortable inside.

Brandy:
Yeah.

Gabby:
Okay.

Brandy:
Because why?

Do you think people are going to be upset that you have money?

Gabby:
There’s something about—“If I’ve got money, I’m not a good person,” come up.
Like, if I suddenly got money in flow—

Brandy:
Yeah.

Gabby:
—it’s something to do with my dad not loving me.

Brandy:
Bingo, I would agree.

Gabby:
That just come—

Brandy:
I would agree.

Gabby:
If I have money, he won’t love me and look after me and—

Brandy:
Bingo.

Gabby:
Bingo.

Brandy:
And notice the feeling of feeling like—and he won’t look after you.

Gabby:
Yes, it’s unsafe to have money ’cause he won’t be there.

Brandy:
Okay.

Totally, he’s going to be like, if you have money, he’s just going to say he doesn’t even want to be around you anymore.

Gabby:
Yes.

Brandy:
Does that make sense?

Gabby:
Yes. Yes, it does.

Brandy:
Wow, so if I told you, “If I have money, my dad just doesn’t want to be around me anymore,”
I think that’s—

Gabby:
No, that doesn’t make sense at all.

Brandy:
Yeah, what kind of dad do you have? He’s mean.
He’s mean. He sounds like a horrible person, right?

Gabby:
Horrible.

Brandy:
Are you sure?

Gabby:
No, I’m not sure. He’s just a mean and unloving person.

Brandy:
Wow.

Gabby:
I think I felt that when I was small.

Brandy:
Uh-huh. Yeah, he’s just mean and unloving and—

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
Yeah.

Now, by the way, how loving would you say your dad is?

Gabby:
Oh, he is loving. He is. Seven.

Brandy:
I say seven.

Gabby:
Okay.

Brandy:
Unless you have money and then he’s like, he’s not even going to love you.

Gabby:
Oh, you know that’s so stupid, isn’t it?

Brandy:
Ah, it doesn’t even make any sense, does it?

Gabby:
No.

Brandy:
So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

So we’ll say instead of saying “that’s stupid,” we’ll just say,
“Oh, it doesn’t make any sense,” because we don’t want to feel like—but yeah, I’m with you.

We’ll just course-correct it a little bit. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.
“Oh, it doesn’t make any sense.”

Gabby:
It doesn’t.

Brandy:
It doesn’t. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

So—

Gabby:
You mean you can still have love and money?

Brandy:
Yes, I can.

Gabby:
And love and money?

Brandy:
Yes.

Gabby:
Ah, people will still love you even if you have money?

Brandy:
Yes.

Gabby:
Great.

Brandy:
So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.
And notice your level of pain—zero to ten—what’s your level?

Gabby:
I think it’s gone down a bit. Two, one and a half.

Brandy:
That’s exactly what I would have said. I get about a—

Bingo.

I have about a 1.6, right in there.
So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

Now imagine if I said, “If I have money, people won’t love me.”
So now I just have to choose between love and money.

No big deal, right?

Gabby:
Yeah, that’s huge.

Brandy:
Fantastic.

Gabby:
It’s a problem.

Brandy:
Yeah.

Put it like this: I want you only to choose between having oxygen or water.
You can only have oxygen or water.

Which one do you want?

Gabby:
I want them both.

Brandy:
You need both. Okay?

Well, in our life, we need money and we need love.
Money helps support our lives—food, everything.
Safety, you know, being able to sustain our lives, all of that.
We need love.

We need both, right?

So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

So no, really—like food or water?
Which one would you prefer?

Gabby:
Both.

Brandy:
Okay, great. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

Notice if your dad wasn’t such a horrible person,
you could have money and love.

Gabby:
That would be nice.

Brandy:
If only he wasn’t so horrible and only loving at a level of seven.

So I’m gonna ask you to breathe (laughs)
and notice these silly fears.

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
That aren’t even true.
And what if it’s safe to have money?

Gabby:
Yeah, that’s so much better.

Brandy:
Bingo. So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.
And notice your level of pain—zero to ten—what’s your level?

Gabby:
I think it’s gone down maybe one.

Brandy:
Bingo. That’s what I would say. I’ve got right under a one, right there.
So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

Thank you.

Now, do you also—there’s another man and I can’t tell who it is. Maybe it’s a brother.
Do you know—do you have a brother?

Gabby:
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Brandy:
Okay. Can you give me his initial?

Gabby:
Yes.

Brandy:
Bingo. Okay.

Now, if I ask you how much you feel like he’s not gonna like you if you have more and more money, what would you say?

Gabby:
Oh my God, I never realized. I’d say—I would think that.

Brandy:
Okay, so I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

Gabby:
Wow, that was unconscious. That just popped up then.

Brandy:
Uh-huh. So if I ask you how much you wanna hide money from him?

Gabby:
Oh my God, I do. (laughing) I didn’t know that.
Yeah, quite a lot I do.

Brandy:
Right?

Men steal money.

Gabby:
Oh, that’s funny.

Brandy:
So your brother’s going to steal your money?

Gabby:
No, of course he’s not.
He’s got plenty of money.

Brandy:
Okay.
So gosh, what kind of men do you have in your family?

What’s that? I mean—mean and awful.

Now, the reason I can say that with a smile and laugh is because I can also feel they’re very nice.

Gabby:
Yeah, they’re nice people. You—oh, lovely people.

Brandy:
So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.
Gosh, if only you could let go of this fear.

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
And I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

So you mean you could have money and be safe.
And it’s all good and safe and good and wonderful?

Gabby:
I think so.

Brandy:
Great. So I’m gonna ask you to breathe.

Gabby:
Yeah.

Brandy:
You mean it’s safe?

Gabby:
I think—it doesn’t feel safe. I want it to be safe.

Brandy:
What do you think your brother’s gonna do?

Gabby:
Oh, he’s gonna bully me and be mean.

Brandy:
Oh.
Sorry you have such a mean—

So he’s going to bully you, really?

Gabby:
No.
No, he’s not going to bully me at all. You know, he’s not.

Brandy:
So I’m going to ask you to breathe.
So if I ask you, would you say your brother’s more successful than you or less successful?

Gabby:
More.

Brandy:
Exactly.
So why would you be concerned that he’s going to be mad at you if you have money?
And why do you need to hide money from him?

Gabby:
Yeah, why? I don’t know. That’s silly.

Brandy:
Yes, it is. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

And if I ask you—

Bingo.

If I ask you zero to ten, how much you hate his success, what would you say?

Gabby:
Oh my goodness. I’ve got a seven come up.

Brandy:
Seven. Seven, eight—somewhere in there.

So I want you to notice—

Gabby:
Oh my god, it feels really, really resentful.

Brandy:
Bingo. Okay. So I’m going to ask you to breathe.

Yep.

Brandy:
All right, so let’s go ahead and actually pause the session right here just because there’s a lot to unpack here and I want to give you just a moment to kind of digest this and take it in.

You know, so far we’ve been talking about the feeling of feeling jealous of others’ success or resentful for others’ success,
but also she’s been feeling that, of course, other people won’t love her if she’s successful and has money.

And so notice there’s that feeling.
There’s all of these mixed emotions.

And additionally, she also felt like if she’s making money, then she’s taking from others.
And so there’s all of these mixed emotions.

And so often I see people in that very thing.
So then they feel stuck. And then they’re fearful financially.

And then, of course, the more they’re stuck, the more they’re spiraling,
the more they feel like they can’t have money or this, that, the other,
the more they feel what?

The more they feel jealous or envious or upset about success—which—or money or whatnot—
and it just keeps the spiral going.

And so I want to give you a moment to digest that and ask yourself
if you’ve been feeling any of these emotions:
of feeling stuck, of feeling like you’re spiraling,
of feeling like you’re jealous of others’ success
or feeling like others are going to be jealous of your money or success or whatnot.

And really start to open these blocks, identifying, look at them, noticing them,
because so often they can—as you can see—they can be very counterintuitive.

Now, by the way, all the time I see people,
as they open up the blocks,
they start doing things that—it’s like,
it’s like the example that I use all the time:

It’s like writer’s block.

Like a writer who has writer’s block—they can’t think of what to write. They feel stuck.
They feel stuck. They feel stuck.

But if they unblock it, then they can have all of this information come in,
and then of course, they’ve got to write it down.
So there’s still action to take.

So once the block opens, there’s action to take.
But it still unblocks their mind.

Now, of course, there are a variety of different reasons.
Sometimes people’s mind will be blocked because they have integrity issues.
Or sometimes all of these different things where they’re resentful, they’re feeling bad, they’re guilty, they’re all of these things.

So that’s the whole point about unblocking the mind is—it’s not just about like,
“Okay, well, you unblock the mind and then you sit there on your couch and you wait for money to fall in your lap.”

That’s not it.

I mean, do people attract money and whatnot? Absolutely.
But what typically happens is: as you are unblocking your mind and aligning and feeling in good integrity
and feeling aligned with money,
then you start having ideas or thoughts or “Oh, I could do this,” or “What about this?” or whatnot.

And/or opportunities show up and you show up to the opportunity.
You know?

So it’s like that, where—you know, we hear throughout history where people, you know,
have had an opportunity—like Apple when they started.
Or, you know, just different people.

Oprah—when she was going through college,
I believe her story is that she dropped out a little bit early
because there was an opportunity that came up.

And so you see people who have different opportunities that open up
that they go, “Oh, I’m going to jump through those doors. I’m going to take that opportunity.”

And so that’s the thing that you’ll want to think about—is exactly that.

Is that as you unblock your mind, opportunities can present themselves.
And then you show up to the opportunity.

And so it’s a beautiful connection.
It’s a beautiful transformation, if you will.
And so just food for thought.

And so as we dive in, we’re going to go—
so notice your pain is starting to come down—
and as we go into the next half next week,

we’ll go in even deeper and really start to unwind it even more.

But right now, I just wanted to give you a moment to really check in with yourself
and notice what you’re feeling
and kind of digest this.

And then we’ll take it to the next level next week and we’ll finish with Gabby and the rest of the unfoldment.
So that’s where we’re going.

And take time.
Take it in. Digest it. Think about it.
How you can use this or apply this in your own life.

And of course, on that note,
if you could also take just a quick moment and hit the share button, that would be fantastic.

You know, share it with somebody you love, somebody you care about, or somebody you don’t even know.
Because the more that every single person is happy and healthy and loved and loving,
the better this world is for everybody.

And so please do hit the share button.

And by the way, if you get a moment, also please do hit the like button or leave a positive comment on the podcast.

You know, add more energy to it would be fantastic.
You know, the bigger difference and the more that every single person is happy and healthy and loved and loving and successful and flourishing,
the better this world is for all of us.

And so please do make a point to hit the share button.
And please do make a point to have a most wonderful, incredible, fantastic rest of your day.

And by the way, on the next episode,
we’ll take it to the next level and you’ll see how the unfoldment goes as we dive in.

So, that’s where we’re going.

Have an incredible rest of your day.
